Entry level induction to the Ceramics Studio

During the ceramics studio induction you will get a general induction to the ceramics studio etiquette and firing schedule and learn how to work safely and follow all health and safety procedures in the ceramics studio.

You will be introduced to the following areas within the ceramics studio

  • teaching room 
  • plaster casting room
  • slip casting room
  • glaze lab
  • kiln room
  • overflow backroom

You will also learn how to use the following pieces of fundamental equipment in the studio

  • slap roller
  • wall extruder

Machine Access

Once you have learnt this badge you will be granted access to the following machines:

  • Ball Mill
  • Clay/Glaze/Slip Mixer
